On a black day last November San Pietro was faced with a destructive computer virus. Initially we reported our issue to our remote software providers who told us not to worry, however the functionality of our machines began to worsen and I reluctantly contacted Steve as I knew he was at home ill - a very rare incident in itself.
Steve instantly knew that my issue was serious and left his sick bed to come and attend at our site. He worked tirelessly into the early hours of the morning with our software providers to save my data and restore some degree of functionality to keep the business operational. He then returned over the weekend to carry out more work and install my new server.
I knew that in joining BNI I would meet reputable companies to refer business to and so approached Steve to look after the IT at San Pietro. He put together an exceptionally price competitive quote for a technical and maintenance service agreement. When we signed up with Steve my expectations were already high but even I had not expected to covered such a high standard of care and service in not only the time in which he attended but in his whole approach to the seriousness of my security breach not just on the day but also in the weeks and months following.

I would like to thank Steve Taylor for his prompt and efficient service when we had an IT emergency. I had arrived at work and attempted to switch on one of our computers which is quite old but is vital to the business due to the information and programs that it holds. The computer would not switch on at all and appeared to have no power. So after the usual power cable checks I rang Steve who took the information he needed to be able to respond and said he would be there as soon as he had collected the items needed.
Steve arrived 40 minutes later and set about diagnosing the problem, he quickly realized that a new part was needed and even had one in his van, I was amazed as it isn't by any means a current model. Steve replaced the part and got us back up and running within just a few hours, which is just what any small business needs. It was like having our own in house IT department, except quicker to respond than any I have come across in the past!
Steve is knowledgeable, helpful and is happy to explain to the less computer literate. I would not hesitate to recommend Steve's service to anyone with an IT issue.

Being in business myself I believe in providing a top quality service at a competitive price and in delivering that service I firmly believe that any less than 100% effort is unacceptable. Not everyone has that same business ethos.
This cannot be said about Steve at STC Services.
My Niece, Emily Button, is a third year student at Liverpool University. The course she is doing is complex and she's required to complete many written projects and research papers, all of which she prepares on her laptop computer.
Unfortunately her laptop isn't waterproof and certainly not to the extent that it would survive a glass of water being spilt over it mid dissertation!
So when this happened a couple of weeks ago she called in tears fearing three years' work had been lost. She'd had the sense to remove the hard drive from the no longer working computer, and asked if I could recover the data from it. I said "No, but I know a man who can".
I called Steve and explained to him the problem and he began working on the job that day, a Sunday, breaking off from his planned family activities. By Monday lunchtime he had the problem sorted, everything recovered safely, and charged a very reasonable price to a very grateful student.

As our business has grown and developed, we have increased our technical IT requirements. We have developed a strong link with STC Services; they have been very supportive when we have had technical issues. Synchronizing diaries, emails not coming through, Wi-Fi not working the list goes on. You name the problem, we've had it. We called Steve as our first port of call due to his excellent flexibility in being able to come straight to us. Steve cleared one of our laptops after it kept failing and became slow. According to Steve he cleared around 12 DVD's worth of data. It was like a brand new machine, unbelievable!
We have also recently appointed a new Business Development Manager. We needed a new laptop, within two days of speaking to Steve about this, we had a laptop set up and in our office synchronized to our group diaries & Outlook.
